FAQ
What is Pharmapplicants.com?
Pharmapplicants.com is a pharmacy school database that organizes data provided by pre-pharmacy students in a way that is beneficial to others who are considering pharmacy school or are already in the process of completing their applications. Statistics are provided from organizations and pharmacy schools, but they neither provide the details nor the user interaction to benefit pre-pharmacy students. I tried to cover as many relevant applicant criteria (such as checking if one has relevant work experience or a pharmacy technician license) as possible to provide useful information to our visitors.Do I need to make register?
An account is not necessary to read the resources and search the database. An account will be necessary to make comments, interact with other users, and create an applicant profile. Although you do not have to fill out any fields in your applicant profile, we greatly appreciate your input and further refining the statistics provided by this database.I have no idea if I even want to pursue pharmacy school. How can you help me?
Although we can’t make that decision for you, check the links in the Student Resources (box below the quick search) to help you get started. You may also want to browse and participate in the Pre-pharmacy section of Student Doctor Network Forums. If you have specific questions about my experience with the application process, give me an e-mail at info@pharmapplicants.comWhat is included in a science GPA?
This includes all of your core science classes along with any math classes you may have taken. Although everyone’s definition may slight vary, science GPA usually only includes the “hard sciences.” Your transcript may not specifically state a science GPA, and you may have to calculate this by dividing the sum of the total grade points earned in science classes with the number of science units taken. What do the W, WL, A icons mean in the statuses?
'W' means that the user has withdrawn from the school. At any status (acceptance, waitlist, etc.), he or she decided to withdraw her application.'WL' means that the user has been placed on the waitlist at sometime. If the user's status shows as Accepted WL, he or she has been accepted off of the waitlist.
'A' means that the user has decided to attend that pharmacy school.
